Donald P. Brobst, M.D.

Dr. Don Brobst joined Pri Med Physicians in 2001. He completed his medical degree in 1983, and his internship and residency in Family Practice in 1987 at Jackson Park Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. He trained additionally in orthopedics, substance abuse and cardiology in his final year, and was in private practice in the Chicago area prior to settling in Alabama.

Dr. Brobst is actively involved with the American and Alabama Colleges of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and the American Association of Medical Review Officers. In addition he has been a member in good standing of the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians, is a contributor of the new AMA Guides 6th Edition, and is a Certified Medical Review Officer. He has been a champion of safety in the workplace for 20 years, and has played an active and ongoing role in industrial ergonomics, Post Offer of Employment Testing, assuring a drug-free workplace, and consulting with both local and international businesses regarding the prevention and treatment of work related injuries. He is the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer of several international manufacturing corporations based in the Montgomery and Birmingham areas.

For the past 5 years Dr. Brobst has been on the National Board of Function Based Medicine, which provides cutting edge training and certified medical education to physicians and health care providers across the nation, and has gained national recognition for its approach to rehabilitation as it has brought new technology and standards to workplace ergonomics.
