Leia Thornton, Physican Assistant

Leia Thornton, a Montgomery native, received her BA in Spanish from UAB in 2000.  Leia returned home to work as a surgical scrub tech at Baptist Medical Center East for a couple of years before attending Physician Assistant School at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL.  She completed her Masters of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2005.  After graduation, she remained in Mobile and worked at USA Family Practice for two years before deciding to return to Montgomery in 2007.  Leia had the privilege of working as a Surgical PA with Alabama Surgical Consultants for a brief period before returning to her Family Practice “roots” by joining Pri Med Physicians, Inc in July 2008.   Mrs. Thornton is happily married and resides with her husband in Montgomery, AL.
