Mary A. Barrow, M.D.

Dr. Mary Barrow returned full time to the physician group at Pri Med in 2003. Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Barrow worked in private practice in Kentucky and Tennessee, following her position as Instructor of Medicine with the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Montgomery Internal Medicine Residency Program.

In 1990, Dr. Barrow received her Doctorate of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia, School of Medicine, in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Barrow graduated Magna Cum Laude when she received her Bachelor of Science/ Biology Degree from Augusta College in 1985. She also distinguished  her educational career by having been the recipient of the McCrary Science Award and a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. In 1988, her scientific research term paper was published in the Biochemical Et Biophysia Acta, 972, titled: Protein Kinase C. Calcium/Phospholipid-Dependent Protein Kinase in Developing Chick Heart: Selective Localization to Atrium Versus Ventricle and Changes in Activity Levels During Cardiogenesis. Dr. Barrow is married and the mother of two daughters. She and her husband reside in Prattville, Alabama.
